1,000th Blog Post Giveaway Extravaganza!

Image
This is it. As of this post, The Princess Blog now has 1,000 reviews, stories, and guides about all things princess! I never could have gotten this far without the support of my readers, so I've prepared something extra special for this milestone: a PSA about how crows should have more respect for princess animatronics . Just kidding. But isn't it crazy what happened to Rapunzel in Tokyo ? The truth is, I'm hosting my very first giveaway! I've produced so much creative work this year outside of just my blog that I wanted to share some of it with the people who have been there for me since the beginning. On National Fairy Tale Day , I revealed the cover for my upcoming book, Hope and Love's Legacy . This book is such a huge deal to me because it's the reason I decided to become a writer when I was 16. I conceived it as an animated series inspired by all of my favorite things and chased my dreams of producing it all the way to Hollywood. Now I can finally share it...

Book Owl Word Search 500th Post Extravaganza!

Image
To celebrate  500 posts in The Princess Blog , I'm participating in the Book Owl Word Search (BOWS) along with many other talented writers. Each author has a secret word hidden somewhere in their blog. If you can find and collect all the secret words, you get a chance to win a prize! I'm on the orange team. You can learn more about the challenge on the Snowy Wings Publishing website . For my entry, I decided to release the bonus chapter from my book, The Stolen Slipper , which had only been published in the Kindle box set for The Stolen Trilogy until now. This chapter is from the perspective of James, the "Prince Charming" character from my reimagining of  "Cinderella,"  who is also  Lily's brother from The Stolen Queen , the second book in the trilogy .   After you read the chapter, you will find a link to the next blog in this challenge. I hope you have fun learning about these talented authors and searching for their hidden words.

The Princess Blog Is Celebrating Its First Year!

One year ago today, I decided I needed a better outlet for my writing. I hadn't released any new books  in a few years, and I was on an indefinite hiatus from my screenwriting. I needed a way to share my love of fairy tales and dreams that would be easily accessible to a wider audience. It needed to a place where I could share my knowledge with the world without getting too personal. Thus,  The Princess Blog  was born. A princess-themed blog seemed like the obvious choice, given that once upon a time, I ran a large Disney Princess fan group on LiveJournal, produced a hefty number of princess music video mash-ups, and later earned the nickname "Princess" at one of my office jobs. Around the time I started my blog, I was a fan of the women's news site HelloGiggles  and noticed that they had been posting fewer princess articles than they used to. The Princess Blog needed to be a resource that people could depend on for the latest princess news, so I developed the...

Rapunzel's New Quest (and My 200th Post!)

Image
Today is a big day for both Rapunzel and The Princess Blog! The second season of Tangled: The Series  kicked off this morning in a big way with a new name and an exciting special called Beyond the Corona Walls .  The show itself appears to now be called Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure even though the URL still has "Tangled: The Series" in it, and it's still listed alphabetically under "T" on the Disney Now show page . I am so stoked to be able to write about this amazing premiere for my 200th post. The Princess Blog has come a long way since my 100th post . Even though I stopped updating every day, I've still had at least one new topic to write about each week. I started a YouTube channel , weekly book reviews , and a relaunch of all the books I wrote . I'm very excited to bring you all the latest princess news and reviews for another hundred posts! Beyond the Corona Walls follows the open ending of the previous special, The Secret of the Sun D...

One Hundred Princesses for My 100th Post

Image
Today is a major accomplishment for me. I started this blog 100 days ago, and I've managed to write a new post in it every day since then. Some of the topics were easier to come up with than others. I also had to go back and edit some after the fact due to poor proofreading. Speaking of which, I'm really sorry about the disastrous short story from my first Story Saturday post . The whole thing was written on my phone on the way to a Mermaid Art Show event in San Diego, so I was a little distracted. I promise to put more effort into future Story Saturdays, which should be easier now that I will no longer be writing new posts every day. Don't worry, though. I will still keep everyone informed of the latest princess news and review all the new princess movies and specials. Without further ado, in celebration of my 100th post, here is a list of 100 princesses with all of the posts I've made about them (in no particular order). Thank you so much for reading my blog. 1-11:...
